Summer has arrived and for some parents that means finding ways to entertain the kids for 8 whole weeks. This summer, Queensland’s popular theme parks, zoos and aquariums have got you sorted with some exciting new attractions, family entertainment, thrill rides and animal encounters to zap the boredom away. Here is our round-up of what’s happening this summer at Australia’s theme parks, zoos and aquariums.

If you haven’t had a chance to get down to Dreamworld to jump on their new Sky Voyager ride then make sure you do these school holidays. In addition to Dreamworld’s daily entertainment and rides you can come along and meet the tiger cubs at Tiger Island or cuddle a koala at the Dreamworld Corroboree.

Dreamworld will also premiere a new show called the ‘Fun House’ from 26 December to 12 January with performances three times a day at 11.30 am, 2.30 pm and 4 pm. The 20-minute show is brought to you by the creators of ‘Blanc de Blanc’ and is included in Dreamworld general admission tickets. The cirque-style show is set to wow guests with juggling, tight ropes, aerialists and acrobats galore.

Experience Oz customers will also exclusively receive a one time early entry during the school holidays so you can be one of the first to ride the Sky Voyager before the park opens to the general public. This offer is available on 1 day, 3 day and the locals only annual pass.

WhiteWater World will be hosting the biggest pool party on January 4 too with a DJ, entertainment and giveaways from 10 am to 3 pm.

If you want to enjoy the thrills all summer long then you can purchase WhiteWater World’s ‘Big Summer Splash Pass‘ to enjoy unlimited entry to the water park between now and 1 March 2020.
