The Gold Coast is preparing for an action packed summer of fun at the theme parks with a number of exciting new attractions opening right in time for the school holidays.

Village Roadshow Theme Parks are launching 5 new attractions this summer at Warner Bros. Movie World, Sea World, Paradise Country and Australian Outback Spectacular.

Warner Bros. Movie World

Movie World is revamping some of their popular rides as well as giving visitors an exclusive behind the scenes look at the upcoming movie Aquaman and Christmas themed evenings.

The popular Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster: Next Generation ride is set to open in December with new and improved special effects, sound effects and projection mapping that will give the well loved family ride a fresh new look and spooky fright.

Movie fans will also love The Aquaman Exhibitiona world first attraction giving visitors a sneak peak behind the scenes to view signature set pieces, props and costumes worn by actors Jason Momoa and Amber Head in the upcoming summer blockbuster movie.

White Christmas is back in 2018 for good hearted family fun in the lead up to Christmas. Experience a ‘White Christmas’ at Movie World with magical parades, lights, colourful floats, Rudolph 4D, a hilarious ‘awkward family photo’ shoot, story time and of course appearances from Santa.

Sea World

Visitors to Sea World this summer can enjoy an exciting ride on the new family friendly Sky Flyer in addition to their recently opened Sea Jellies Illuminated Exhibit.

The new attraction launching in December will give riders amazing views of Sea World and the Gold Coast Broadwater as the giant swing reaches heights up to 33 metres above ground.

The ride will be a great addition to the park with riders from 120cm tall and 6 years old and above able to join in on the fun alongside their family and friends.

Australian Outback Spectacular

From 29 November, the entertainment begins to rollout with an all new multi-million dollar production and star studded cast that will take you on a journey to the Australian Outback Spectacular’s Heartland as you dine on a delicious three course meal and drinks.

Follow the topically relevant and moving story of Australian farmers Reg and Marge as they struggle to survive on the farm after 5 years of severe drought.

The story is brought to life with a visually stunning production that transforms the arena into a variety of Australian landscapes with the use of hi-tech projection mapping and cutting edge technology.

Watch in amazement as the arena changes from red dust, rocky outcrops to rugged plains and green fields with special effects, lighting and audio that simulate thunder, lighting and rain.

The new production also features a talented new cast led by Australian actors Robert Coleby, Cate Feldmann and Mark Mitchell who play Reg, Marge and charismatic Bazza.

As you are enthralled by the action, hundreds of meals are served in record breaking time dishing up a delicious roasted vegetable and goat feta tart for entrée, a main meal of juicy eye fillet steak or chicken breast with roast vegetables and a Dark Chocolate flan with rich chocolate mousse.

Paradise Country

Finally, Paradise Country is getting ready to welcome Shaun the Sheep and friends to Australia with a new stage show, tractor ride, water play zone and interactive movie making cinema and themed retail outlet.
