What is your favourite thing to do in Melbourne?

Ash: My most favourite thing to do in Melbourne would be to go for brunch (maybe twice) to a new place every week. I have travelled a lot around the world but nothing can compare to Melbourne coffee and food, especially brunches. There are so many amazing cafes here and I believe even if I go to a new one every week, I still won’t be able to cover all of them!

Which experiences are on the top of your bucket list?

Ash: There is just so much to do and experience in Melbourne that it’s hard to choose but here is what I would say is on top of my bucket list right now:

Overnight Safari tour at Werribee Open Range Zoo

Callum @callumfrommelbourne

Callum is a freelance creative currently based in Melbourne, Australia. There’s not really one word to describe his work, he has a passion to take photos of anything he finds interesting or beautiful, which often leads him into some interesting places.

Callum: One of the best things about being a creative in Melbourne is that there are so many places to explore whether it’s the beautifully alive alleyways in the heart of the CBD or the golden coastlines, beautiful native forests or other jaw dropping natural attractions we have scattered across the state.

What is your favourite thing to do in Melbourne?

Callum: My favourite thing to do in Melbourne is to get up early, set up my bag full of camera equipment and head out on a day trip. One of my favourite trips I’ve done has to be heading to the Grampians on a day trip, getting there before sunrise and watching the stars light up the valley of Boroka Lookout as the fog moved across the mountains like waves to the morning sun was an incredible sight to see, having the rest of the day to explore there is plenty to check out down there as MacKenzies falls, The Balconies, Hollow Mountains, etc. The list is endless and I’m always finding new exciting places to check out whenever I’m up at the Grampians.

Which experiences are on the top of your bucket list?

Callum: I feel like I have travelled almost all across Melbourne but surprisingly there are still things that are on my bucket list that I still haven’t done. As a Melbourne city lover, I have always wanted to go for a helicopter flight over Melbourne for golden hour.

Having so many vantage points such as the Eureka Skydeck to see the whole city skyline, I fell in love with the city and I feel seeing Melbourne from that high up it gives you a whole new perspective of how incredible our city really is, I mean it was the worlds most liveable city for 6 years for a reason!

Another one on the bucket list for me is kind of the same as a helicopter ride, whenever I am in the city early in the morning I love seeing the hot air balloons start to float over our city, they look like a lot of fun and it’d be an awesome way to start your morning that way, it’d definitely start your day off better than a cup of coffee being 1,200 to 3,000 feet in the air!

I think the last one on the list for me is skydiving, the idea of being that high in the air falling definitely freaks me out but I know it’d be a lot of fun especially for a thrill seeker like me, A lot of my bucket list ideas comes from being a creative, such as the helicopter and hot air balloon ride because I can capture the city and all it’s gems from up above but I know that skydiving for me is just personally something I’ve wanted to do for a bit of fun for a long time.

Anything else you would like us to know?

Callum: My advice for anyone in Melbourne is to just enjoy yourself and take your time, there’s so much to do and so much to see so you’ll never run out of activities, enjoy a cup of coffee in one of Melbournes alleyways, go check out some street art at hosiers lane or see some art at the NGV, rent out a car or join a tour group to go out to some iconic attractions.
If you’re a creative like me the creative circle in Melbourne is huge and there are plenty of others like us in Melbourne, you can reach out to most through socials like IG plus there are plenty of photography tours out there!

What is your favourite thing to do in Melbourne?

Connor: Coffee and sunrises, together or separate – it really doesn’t matter; I’m happy with either. Coffee, I feel like this doesn’t really need an explanation – we are in Melbourne after all.

What do you love to capture in Melbourne?
